Treatment Team Staff: 

Rachel R. Stokes, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Stokes is a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in women's development and is passionate about helping individuals in their process of personal change and  growth.  Dr. Stokes works closely with clients who are addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, body image concerns, and other psychological difficulties.  Dr. Stokes provides several types of psychological testing including bariatric evaluations, personality testing and cognitive assessment.  Originally from Florida, Dr. Stokes received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.  In addition to her work at Louisiana Center for Disordered Eating, Dr. Stokes is currently a full time staff psychologist at LSU Student Health Center where she directs the Eating Disorder Treatment Team.  She has extensive experience providing general  psychotherapy services to adults, children, families and couples. 


Vanessa Richard, RD, LDN

Vanessa is a registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in eating disorders, weight management, lifestyle nutrition, and intuitive eating. Her work with clients includes providing individual nutrition assessment, education, and counseling. Her goal is to assist individuals through their journey of recovery by improving their relationship and ultimately making peace with food. Vanessa is a native of Baton Rouge. She received her bachelor of science in Dietetics at Louisiana State University and completed a post­graduate dietetic internship at the University of Houston. Her previous experience includes eight years of practice as a wellness dietitian at the LSU Student Health Center, where she was a lead member of a multidisciplinary Eating Disorders Treatment Team. Vanessa has also worked as a clinical dietitian specializing in cardiac and pediatric acute care nutrition and pediatric critical care nutrition.
